this hotel is wonderful-with its free broadband i-net access, superb fitness center with a host of exercise equipment including 6 treadmills, a fantastic tea room with a garden for outside dining with a beautiful waterfall, and a truly complete buffet breakfast which included an omelet maker-all were superb...my one complaint...

I was a little a taken aback by some of the recent reviews on the hotel before my trip. After check in I was given an old outdated room. I immediately complained to the manager, and was given a new updated room on the 11th floor which was much nicer....

One cannot expect too much from a hotel which was built 20 years ago in Guangzhou. In terms of the exterior and the lobby and other public areas, the Garden Hotel looks very decent. The disappointment comes when I open the door of my room (one with the lowest price)....

Aside from the grand exterior and huge lobby, the rooms are no better than the Motel 6 stuff. The rooms are tiny, with ugly decors and curtains, the bathrooms are small and disgusting. The service are terrible. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice..... Not In This Life...
